Oklahoma Panhandle State University is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) as of 2017. Our state accrediting body is the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability (OEQA), which reviews our educator preparation program (EPP) in tandem with national accreditors, also assessing state-level requirements. Oklahoma Panhandle State University provides annual reporting data to both entities.

Panhandle Promise Scholarship

The Panhandle Promise Scholarship pays the expected out-of-pocket costs for tuition and fees a student would face after federal and state aid, and all other scholarships the student receives, are applied. Panhandle State also funds up to $2,000 per year in tuition waivers for each eligible PPS student.

PPS removes the financial barrier and offers incentive for local residents to pursue classroom teacher degrees, in exchange for a two-year commitment to teach in an Oklahoma panhandle public school.
