Private Security Officer Micro-Credentials
Prepare for Oklahoma CLEET certification with stackable credentials that build toward licensure and employment.
OPSU’s Private Security micro-credential program provides training aligned with Oklahoma’s Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) requirements. The three badges correspond to Phases I, II, and IV of CLEET’s curriculum for unarmed and armed security guards. Learners progress from foundational concepts and legal responsibilities to advanced firearm safety and tactical procedures. Upon completion of each badge, learners earn digital credentials hosted on Credly and recognized by UpskillOK.
Covers core competencies in patrol, legal limitations, emergency response, and initial security guard duties.
Prepares learners for active unarmed security roles, with a focus on post duties, investigations, and threat awareness.
Covers firemar safety, legal use of force, and tactical training required for Oklahoma armed security guard licensure.
All instruction is delivered in person at OPSU, including classroom sessions, hands-on drills, and firearms range training. These immersive experiences meet CLEET’s certification standards.
All badges align with Oklahoma Administrative Code Title 390, Chapter 35. Completion of all three credentials qualifies participants to apply for unarmed and armed security guard licenses in Oklahoma, preparing them for employment in private and public security sectors.
