OPSU Celebrates Class of 2025 with Commencement Ceremony

Goodwell, Okla. — On May 9, 2025, Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) proudly celebrated the achievements of over 300 graduates during its annual commencement ceremony in Goodwell, Oklahoma. Family, friends, faculty, staff, and community members gathered to honor the hard work and dedication of students who have reached a major academic milestone. This achievement not only reflects their past efforts but also points toward a promising future.

Among this year’s graduating class, 78 students received honors distinctions, underscoring the high academic standards and commitment to excellence upheld at OPSU.

The ceremony featured Mr. Murry Gloude, an OPSU Hall of Fame inductee and proud alumnus, as the 2025 commencement speaker. His inspiring address emphasized perseverance, adaptability, and the importance of lifelong learning as graduates prepare to enter the workforce.

Reflecting on the event, OPSU President Dr. Julie Dinger shared her pride in the graduating class. “Commencement is always one of the most meaningful moments of the year. It represents not just academic success but the transformation that happens when students commit to learning and growing. Our graduates are entering the workforce with the knowledge, experience, and determination to make a difference, and we couldn’t be prouder.”

From day one, OPSU students are encouraged to think critically, work collaboratively, and apply what they learn in real-world settings. Whether through internships, service learning, or leadership roles on campus, graduates leave OPSU with more than a diploma. They leave career-ready.

The ceremony marked the joyful conclusion of years of academic effort and personal growth. Graduates crossed the stage with pride, knowing they had gained the skills and confidence to make a meaningful impact in their chosen fields.

As they go on to join industries, start businesses, serve communities, or pursue advanced degrees, the Class of 2025 carries with it the spirit of the Panhandle: resilient, hardworking, and ready to make a lasting impact.
