OPSU’s National Champion NACTA Team Recognized at Oklahoma State Capitol

Goodwell, OK — In a moment of pride for the Panhandle and the entire state, Oklahoma Panhandle State University’s National Champion NACTA Team was recognized at the Oklahoma State Capitol on Monday, April 28, 2025. This honor follows the team’s historic win at the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Conference earlier this month, where they became the first university in Oklahoma history to earn the national championship title.

In recognition of this groundbreaking achievement, members of the OPSU NACTA Team were formally introduced on the floors of both the Oklahoma House of Representatives and Senate. Lawmakers applauded the team’s hard work, academic excellence, and commitment to advancing agricultural education.

OPSU President Dr. Julie Dinger, who joined the students for the recognition, shared her pride in the team’s accomplishment.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized at the state level,” said Dr. Dinger. “Our students made history, not only for our university but for the entire state. This national title reflects their dedication, teamwork, and the strength of OPSU’s academic programs. This achievement would not be possible without the support of our elected officials. I’m grateful to our state leaders for their investment in OPSU. Every dollar spent at our university is helping shape some of the most workforce-ready graduates in a generation.”

This recognition marks more than just a win—it reflects OPSU’s leadership in agricultural education and its dedication to student success. The team’s national title marks a milestone for agricultural education in Oklahoma and highlights the university’s growing impact on a national stage.
